Our Physicians

My philosophy as an internist is to develop close, personal and long-term relationships with all my patients and provide a caring and supportive environment for everyone. I strive to serve my patients’ diverse needs and to be an advocate for their wellness. I believe that preventive care is key in maintaining and ensuring good health.

Offering my patients a highly personalized approach to their care is important. My patients also enjoy the benefits of the MDVIP Wellness Program, which includes advanced screenings for bone health, diabetes and heart disease and consultations on nutrition, fitness and more. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments that start on time. As a private doctor, I believe that every patient is a valuable and unique individual who should be treated with dignity and compassion.

My Alexandria, Virginia-based primary care practice serves the Northern Virginia (Alexandria, Springfield, Fairfax, Arlington, Falls Church) and Washington DC metropolitan areas. I am affiliated with INOVA Alexandria Hospital and provide hospital care for my patients who may need such services.

My approach to primary care focuses on nurturing the doctor-patient relationship. I believe this relationship is based on trust and discussing the needs of patients. Trust between a doctor and patient can blossom, I believe, if the doctor gets to know their patients as people first.

This patient-centered philosophy is inspired by the founding father of modern medicine, Dr. William Osler, who said, “It is much more important to know what sort of patient has a disease than what sort of disease a patient has.”

I endeavor to strengthen and enhance the doctor-patient relationship with my patients. Through my research and clinical experience, I have observed that when this relationship is helped to flourish, healthcare decisions can become easier to discuss, and patients can feel empowered to lead healthier, more meaningful lives. That is my goal for you.

It is my aim for your personalized care to encompass various aspects of internal medicine, which I broadly categorize into three principles: prevent, promote and care.

Preventive health can include vaccinations, age-appropriate screenings and health risk assessments. Promotive health can involve addressing chronic medical conditions with the aim of supporting your journey toward an improved quality of life. Finally, care provision can include comforting you in times of illness and being mindful of your specific needs as we partner to make shared decisions.

My MDVIP-affiliated primary care practice is in Alexandria, Virginia, and offers same-day or next-day appointments. I look forward to learning about your life and your healthcare needs.
